GRB Journeyman Upgrading

Journeyman Upgrading course offers welders the opportunity to enhance their existing skills by receiving instructions and practice on plate, using various procedures and processes such as shield metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW).


  Pre-Requisites
  • Alberta Journeyman Welder (Improve skills)
  • Third (3rd) year Alberta Welder Apprentice with Stamped Blue Book
  • A welder that is challenging the Alberta Journeyman Certificate - Offical    letter of approval from Alberta Apprenticeship Board is required
