Pre-Employment Welding Program
GRB Pre-Employment Welding Program is a course designed
for individuals who are interested in pursuing an apprenticeship
in welding but lack the necessary manual skills required to secure
employment. This accredited course will teach you the manual welding
skills and 1st year theory as required by the Alberta Apprenticeship
Board. Upon completion of the course, students who pass both the
theory and practical exams at GRB will be permitted to challenge
the 1st year welder apprenticeship examinations at the Alberta Apprenticehisp
Board. Students who successfully pass the board examinations will
be granted credit for thier first year welder technical training.

Careers? (Over age 40)
Pre-Requisite:
Alberta Grade 10 education or equivalent. (Please
provide an "Official Transcript" of school marks from
your province.)
Good physical condition.

by GRB:
Steel Toe Safety Boots, Blue Jeans (no holes or frayed
areas)

Tuition may be paid by cheque, Visa or MasterCard.
Students with funding requirements may apply for an Alberta Student
Loan or inquire at a Canada/Alberta Service Centre location regarding
“grant” funding. Aboriginal students may contact their band to inquire
about financial assistance. The Pre-Employment Welding Program offers
a new intake date every 6 weeks. An Intake Dates calendar is available
upon request.
