Welder Training
Welding provides an infinite
learning experience that allows you to excel at your own speed and
to your own personal level of competence. Many welders would describe
what they do as an art form. Welding can also be considered a foundation
skill that will be a life long asset. Welding is a character building
skill that improves hand - eye coordination while teaching the art
of patience and focus. It is a skill that will be an asset the rest
of your life regardless of what the future brings you.
All processes of welding are taught either on an hourly basis or via
a tax deductible course. Whether you choose a take a course or pay
an hourly rate, you will receive the same services which are:
- A completely equipped welding booth. There is
no need to bring in any tools, grinders, etc. Welders are merely
required to wear their own personal protective welding gear. If
a Rig welder chooses to use his own truck, he simply advises us
at the time of booking. Space permitting, we will have him drag
his cables into one of our welding booths when he arrives.
- All electrodes, steel, gases and beveled coupons
are provided. There is no need for the student to supply these
items.
- An instructor to teach you. Though the instructor
is not with you 60 minutes out of the hour, he is there to teach
and guide you. As he checks your progress, he will offer suggestions,
educate you, give you pointers and correct your technique or body
position.
With the exception of our Pre-Employment Welding
programs, all other courses and processes are taught on an individual
basis. Welders book themselves to train at their convenience. Appointments
can be made by telephone or in person during office hours. A day
or two notice is usually all that is required to set up training
or testing.
